I captured this image of an utmost pastoral meadow and hill in my hometown of Litchfield, Connecticut last evening. This is my absolute favorite vista in town. While the thunderclouds moved in, I kept photographing their movement. I chose this image because I like the peaking of blue sky and the orange glow from the setting sun. An eight second exposure was just enough to show just how quickly these clouds were moving in. I also don't mind the grasses showing a bit of movement. For me, showing movement, especially in nature photography can be very transportive. It allows me to repeat the experience of being there, every time I view it.
My interest in photography started at ten years old, when my father introduced me to the art. Several years ago, a camera gift from my beloved husband reignited my passion for the art. I am a self-taught, New England Landscape/Seascape photographer. With ever- evolving "eyes to see", I am consistently in pursuit of capturing the best of what nature has to offer. New England seascapes have been at the heart of my passion, drive, and motivation. Nothing draws me in like the ocean waves; whether they are crashing violently due to an off-shore storm, billowing gently up against warmly-lit rocks, or blanketing and lapping the soft sands of our New England beaches.
